Here’s something “about me” that you likely do not know…

My wife and I rescue “discarded” animals.

Discarded?… Yes, precious animals that for what ever reason, the owner decided to simply throw out on the streets.

We live in a rural area and it is common that badly abused, hurt, and abandoned animals find their way to our home (we put out several different types of food to work well with the digestive tracts of dogs and cats).

At the time of this writing, we have roughly 50 cats and 1 dog. Of the 50 cats, about 15 live indoors with us, and the rest live outside. The dog lives both indoors and out… We let him do as he pleases.

The inside cats were all saved from certain death at very young ages (in general less than 3 weeks old) … When we find an animal that we are certain will not survive, we bring him/her into our home and give him the best care, treatment and love that we can possibly offer.

We have an entire very large room dedicated exclusively to cat toys and accessories… we even built a large cage area outside so that the cats can come in and out of “their room” at their leisure without ever facing any danger.

They are all spoiled rotten, and we love them like children.

The dog… He’s pretty new still.

The dog is massive… think in terms of a small horse! At the moment he weighs 150-175 pounds, and is in very bad shape. He is almost starved to death, but we are working on fixing that daily! His hair is matted and ruined and as soon as we get him healthy enough, we’ll take him to a groomer to get shaved down entirely so that he can start over.

He is so big (natural body structure) that his hips are giving up on him… He has a really hard time getting up once he lay’s down.

Our vet told us that his condition will only get worse over time and that pretty much all we can do is give him alieve once or twice per day to help with his pain, as well as specially formulated food to help his joints.

We have only had him a few days, have already spent a crazy amount of money on him, and without a doubt love him as much as any other member of our family.

Our vet bills are on the north side of a small country’s national budget, out food bill is so high that I sometimes wonder why they don’t make food stamps for animals, but we couldn’t imagine life any other way.

These discarded animals are our family, our children, and we love them deeply. They are no longer “discarded” they are now a part of a big happy, and very well functioning family.

If you would like to participate in the lives of any of these beautiful creatures by making any sort of donation for food, health, and so on, just connect with me through my “Contact Bishop” form and let me know! We’ll send you photos and details of what your money is being spent on.

P.s: The dog and cats get along beautifully.

Bishop.
